How does the emergency filter work?
The filter cleans the water mechanically with a filtration precision of 0.01 micron, fine enough to trap bacteria, protozoa and particles. Drink straight from the water source through the filter, like a straw, or filter the water into a bottle or pot. No batteries, chemicals or preparation needed.
How much water can the filter clean?
Up to 1,500 liters. That is roughly one person's drinking water for more than a year, or a whole family's for several months during a crisis.
What does the filter remove?
The filter is microbiologically tested by SGS and removes 99.9% of bacteria and protozoa as well as dirt and particles. It is made for natural water sources such as lakes and streams. It does not remove chemicals, so if you suspect chemical pollution, always choose another water source.
