Our new emergency radio has both DAB+ and FM, a 4,500 mAh power bank, a hand crank, a solar panel and an LED display.
In an emergency it matters that you can stay informed about what is happening. Phone and internet services can go down, and then you rely on radio. With a proper emergency radio you can follow broadcasts from the authorities without depending on mains power, wifi or mobile coverage.
Four ways to keep it running
If the power goes, the radio keeps working. You choose how to top up the battery.
01 Hand crank. Works in any weather, at any time of day and without the grid. A minute of cranking gives you radio time.
02 Solar panel. Put the radio on a windowsill or on your backpack and it charges slowly in daylight.
03 USB-C. Charge it fully at home before you need it. A charging cable is included.
04 AAA batteries. The radio has a battery compartment for AAA batteries. Batteries are not included. If you have ordinary AAA batteries in a drawer, the radio is running within seconds.
Everything in one unit
DAB/DAB+ and FM. Receives broadcasts from the authorities even when the mobile network is down. FM with RDS.
4,500 mAh power bank. Charges your phone when the socket is dead, enough to stay in touch.
Light and SOS. 360° lighting and a 4 W LED with three levels, plus an SOS alarm with sound and a flashing light.
Bluetooth and LED display. Bluetooth 5.0 for your own music, and an LED display that shows the station and battery level.
Built for the outdoors. A rugged housing in a compact size, 150 × 75 × 65 mm and 370 g. It fits in an emergency kit.
An emergency radio is the single most important item in an emergency kit. It keeps working when everything else stops.
